Copyright is to protect the "Original work" from a person and is use to protect the author to avoid the creative work been copied without permission. It's allow creator to charge other for copying the "Creative work" from creator as the modify and edit also not allowed, as the copyright allow the author "creative work" be protected by copyright law. Another is trademark law is to prevents market and product sell in the market. The purpose is to avoid the peoples to sell a similar product , or using the same sign, phrase and word and protect the brand automatically.

I think that these law is used to protect the creator and it is very important to the creator themselves. For an example, we download song and movie from computer is illegal behavior. Many people think that buy an album is so expensive and they just download from computer because it is easy and free. We never think of how long time had been taken to create a new album. If we all continue like this, the music and movie industry will destroy and we will lose one entertainment. Besides that, if we buy the private cd or dvd, it is unfair to the author and creator as they spend so much time to create the good movie and song for us to listen.

By the way, nowadays the technology is very advance. People can record their own song or video and can be share through the whole world. Let say that if someone post a video of music and he or she get high rating, he or she can become singer or actor. But if the song is created by own then is ok. But if they copy some lyric and word from the original creator, then the law of copyright will be charge as he or she misuse the lyric or word without the permission from the original owner. It is very important to have this law as the wolrd now is changing rapidly and many new thing is been discover.
